The Brand family is synonymous with the famous Coonawarra region and is regarded as one of the pioneers of both the district & the Australianwine industry.The Brand family legacy stretches back over four generations with over 113 years of winemaking in Coonawarra.

The Brand’s were instrumental in creating and shaping the style which established the region and helped promote Australian wines amongst the world’s most elite.

These highly-awarded wines are as well recognised as the famous Coonawarra Terra Rossa soil itself with the family winning an unprecedented 430 awards from Australian wine shows, including 4 trophies, between 1970-1992.

Though selling the original ‘Brand’s Laira’ property in 1994, the Brand family took up influential roles as consultants for other premium producers in the region. This allowed the family to further develop key vineyard sites throughout Coonawarra and they are now one of the largest private landholders in the region.
